Recently I’ve become addicted to looking up recipes online. It’s a huge world out there with tonsĀ of new things to be learned and tried and created. I like cooking and baking and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. As much as I enjoy this past time I do occasionally become tired of it and wish for a simpler life.
When it comes to simple life and food, our minds often go to fast food joints, finished foods from the supermarket counter, frozen dinner and pizza. But that’s not the simple food that I’m talking about.
This week I have been longing for a basic, simple food diet.
- almonds, pistachios, peanuts
- apples, pears, bananas, watermelon
- carrots, celery, peppers, corn on the cob
- baked potato
- fresh baked bread
- brown rice
- milk / water / tea
- cheese
- baked salmon, chicken or turkey
Do you think you could live on food like this? When you look at this list, does everything sound good? I hope so. If food is fuel, this is the best kind I can think of and guess what? It’s EASY.
